An accident while commuting to or from work is not directly a work-related accident but is regarded as work-related. It is dealt with by the Rosai like an accident at work with minor differences. Some special rules apply to commuting accidents. For example, 200 yen must be paid by you for medical expenses when you first see a doctor and if you cannot work for a while, you only get paid compensation for loss of income from the 4^th day of absence from work.
