11 Annual leave

In Japan, there is a system of paid annual leave. After 6 months from the date a worker is employed, they are entitled to 10 days of paid annual leave. However, the worker should have worked 80% of the days during this period. The period of entitlement to paid annual leave increases gradually to 20 days, which is the maximum. The maximum of 20 days is reached by working 6 years and 6 months continuously.

Taking leave up to your entitlement should not result in a decrease in your wage payment. A foreign national worker has the same annual leave rights as a Japanese national worker and can take paid leave up to the limits of their entitlement.
